Male Condoms and Spermicides

Contraception

Condoms fit over the man’s penis and contain the sperm so it can’t get to the woman’s egg. Spermicides over the woman’s cervix and kill the man’s sperm. Although, both methods can work alone they are more effective if used together. About 18 out of 100 women become pregnant with condoms and 28 of 100 women become pregnant with spermicides. When used together the pregnancy rate is lower.
